    Exclamation Divendry (Bryan Bilancione)

Jackie and I would like to congratulate Bryan (Divendry), Orlando, on the completion of his Intro to Cave this past weekend at Peacock!

We had the opportunity to meet this fine young man at Ginnies a few weeks ago, who is just starting out on his cave diving journey. You know how it is when you meet an individual for the first time and they immediately stand-out as someone who has tremendous potential to do great things in the future? . . well, meet Bryan!

If Bryan is what the future of new cave divers is about, then rest assured, our sport is being handed off to the type of people that all of us would hope continue to represent it.

We are looking forward in getting some future dives in together. . .even to the point of shedding DPV's and all them lights and cameras...and that's saying alot for me!!!!

    Again, CONGRATS!!!!

    HI Jack and Jackie,
Thank you very much for the kind words, I do have a lot of heart and passion about this aspect of diving. That being said, seeing what I was able to see in olson this past weekend well, was really something special, to the point i had to tell my instructor to stop for a moment to take in what i was seeing and we were not even 200 ft in. It truly took my breath away that rooms like that and rock formations such as the beg of olson just errupt only 45 ft underwater after that ahhhh moment even managed to scoop up some trash on exit. The cave world is truly something special that is luring me in I appreciated the advice and knowledge the both of you offered. I have a really great instructor behind me teaching me the way who can Hopefully help me find the route to getting into cave conservation groups and so forth not sure where to go for that, considering i am still at an intro level and have a LOT of stuff to learn . It was truly great to meet the both of you and i look forward to diving and learning what i can from the both of you, 1 to be a safer diver and 2 to keep the caves safer. have a truly wonderful thanksgiving. !! Now its time to find a buddy who is as motivated as me and has a pass aswell to Ginnie so we can dive saturdays and sundays bought my pass finally

    First, congratulations.

Second, it sounds like you are saying you entered at Olson Sink. Am I misreading this? Because it's against park rules to do so.

sorry if my words are wrong or my understanding, I entered at p1 and followed the right gold line. I was informed this side is called olson, in talking to a fellow instructor he explained the regulations your referring to and i now see the confusion in my words, but we did enter at p1 and followed the right gold line/pothole line/olson. Hope that clears up what i was referring to.

Okay, you didn't break any rules - you just labeled the dive wrong.

You dived Peacock 1, and went up the "Olson Line."

Olson Sink is a sinkhole about 1,400 feet away. We used to be able to get in at Olson, but because of erosion issues, they no longer allow us to enter at Olson Sink.
