Default Bauer Utilus 4cfm compressor with auto drain

Great compressor. I've owned it for about 2.5 years and haven't had any issues with it. I have a three compressors so it's time to thin out the herd and this one gets to go. 286.42 hours on it. Set to shut off at 3800 psi. Has auto drain so no need to check it every 15-20 minutes. Uses 220 power same as your electric dryer or stove. Comes with a couple extra filters and some synthetic oil.

Tried to upload but kept getting error.

Compressor is located in Marianna, FL and I will also have it in Orlando, FL all week during DEMA.

    $3000. Will entertain reasonable offers.

That's a nice little workhorse compressor. It doesn't take ton of maintenance and isn't overly pricey to operate. It'd be a nice little first compressor for somebody. The autodrains make it worth that price in ease of use. Should sell well.

Rob, Have you ever had the air tested? Is this suitable for continuous blending? does it make OCA or does it need more filtering? I'm interested....

Unless he's got a full blown hyperfilter you wont get guaranteed OCA. You should he able to get grade E in your sleep with it unless theres an undiagnosed issue which is unlikely. The utilus is a 3 stage compressor(i'm pretty sure) and many people dont feel a 3 stage compressor is suitable for continuous mixing due to higher head temps than a 4 stage compressor. Personally I think thats just one of those oxygen safety myths that have been propogated with no real facts behind it. If you use a properly mixing stick that doesnt allow for laminar flow you shouldnt get any hot spots of high concentration oxygen coming out of the stick. Plus i think anyone continuous mixing should have an oxygen solenoid to stop oxygen flow if the compressor shuts down and then restarts.

I test my air quarterly. As rddvet states another filter is needed for OCA. I was running a 2nd filter but I'm keeping that. I'm now triple filtering my gas. But the gas that comes out of this compressor as is does meet grade E. A 2nd filter stack should run you about $300 or so plus hoses. The compressor has synthetic oil in it and I've used it for continuous blending with no issues. The key to continuous blending in a compressor this size, or any for that matter as far as I'm concerned, is limiting the continuous hours you're running it. With this compressor I never ran it for more than 2 hours at a time, less in the summer or higher pressures. With my K14 I will go 3 hours on cool days, 2 on hot days.

But to answer your questions directly, yes to air test, yest to continuous blending, OCA as is, $300 or so for the additional filter.
