Default WTB Service Kit Mares Proton Second Stage

I'm looking for one or two service kits for the Mares Proton second stage, as used on my Classic KISS BOV.

I would also welcome information as to what other regulator is sufficiently similar that service parts for that regulator would also work. Modifying the BOV to use a different second stage is not an option at this time.

    Thanks!

Doesn't KISS stock parts for them?

KISS offers them for sale at what I think is much too high a price. I have not checked stock status.

Any technician should have all the parts you need in the bulk parts bin. As I recall, annually replaced parts on that unit consist of a seat, a nyloc nut, and about three o-rings.

Thanks Russel. The o-rings are easy. The nyloc nut may actually be easy, too, once I have the thread dimensions. That leaves the seat. Are you suggesting that the same seat is used in other regulators and is commonly available?

First question: have you flipped the old seat? On most unbalanced second stages you can flip the seat and use it another year.

I'm not familiar with the internals of this regulator and I haven't had it apart beyond removing the face plate & diaphragm. I'll see if that is a viable option. Thanks for the suggestion.

Following up, the answer to this is NO. They have none in stock, and do not plan to refresh their supply.

I have found an alternative source, so I'm good to go.
