Default 2005 CDS Members Manual is done and in the mail

    Hi all,

The 2005 CDS Members Manual is done and in the mail. This issue took well over 200 hours to put together. Gene Melton and Sandy Fehring worked hard and the CDS database is now 99% accurate. We have 1066 members in the manual with more joining every day. If any of your personal info needs to be updated let us know.

Brian Williams, DeWayne Hyatt, Doug Rorex, Cindy Butler, Kelly Jessop, Judy Ormeroid, Pete Butt, Renee Power, Ralph DiPanfilo, and Gene Melton all supplied articles along with the committee chairs, Mike and Sandra Poucher, Bill Huth, Joe Tegg, Cathy Lesh, Forrest Wilson, Norm Blitch, John Knukle, and Jim Coke. There is an insert advertising the CDS cruise in February.

Thanks “tj” for letting me move all the big files around on your server. Beth, Georgia, and Wes from Karst Productions also have a big surprise for everyone.

Todd Leonard wrote the feature article about their record-breaking dive at Cathedral not too long ago. This gave me the motivation to spend all the time and make this a really cool issue. I have to say knowing the guys who did the original Cathedral exploration, Todd and his team have put together a story which will live in cave diving history. I could not put it down and afterward reflected about old and new friends.

I especially want to thank Angie Reim tcreim@netscape.net Angie proofs UWS (this issue took days to proof) and I could not put out such a quality product without her help. If you don’t know Angie I suggest you take the time and do it. If you like what UWS has become, please thank Angie. She is a regular on the CDF.

The Members Manual should be in your homes starting Friday September 9th.

    Bill
A big thank-you needs to go to all of those involved in the member's manual. I am looking forward to holding a slick printed copy of it, instead of the hodgepodge pieces on my hard drive. This has been a true team effort, driven by Bill's long-suffering perserverence

Hey Bill, I'm looking forward to checking my mail until it gets here! You have done more for freedom of the press than anyone in cavediving could have dreamed. Cindy ps. I will save time to read it on my favorite seat!
