Default Tampa Bay Times Springs Articles

The Tampa Bay Times ran a group of articles on pollution and the springs. I haven't had a chance to read all of it, but it looks pretty good. I haven't found anything that would be considered a negative to any of the spring/cave conservation groups, but again I haven't gotten through all of it.

Maybe it will keep awareness. People think the drought is over with because Debby brought water levels up,but it is still a crisis situation.

The commentary by the owners of Ginnie and about the whole situation is interesting. I'd like to be able to know the truth behind all of it (as opposed to newspaper truth). It sounds as though he's really concerned about pollution and aquifer depletion, and the state is only worrying about big business. But all the while in my mind not knowing anything of him and knowing he's got a business interest, I wonder if he's truly just more concerned about state aid.

One just has to look at all the trash in the springs and rivers to see how polluted they really are. :-(

We need to thank the Governor Rick Scott for defunding the Spring initiative put in place by Jeb Bush.

Please use the link to voice your concern over the defunding of the Springs initiative by the Governor. Maybe remind him that you vote with the concern of the health of the springs in mind.
