I am putting my Silent Submerge UV Scooter with both 18 Ah and 26 Ah hulls up for sale.
I purchased the UV-26 scooter used Jan 2007 via a post on the cavers forum (http://www.cavediver.net/forum/showt...9066#post29066). The motor was overhauled by Rodney a couple of months later under warranty. I replaced the batteries for the 26 hull a few years ago staying with Genesis batteries. The UV-18 conversion kit currently has Powersonic high drain batteries PSH-12180. I ran the scooter more often as an 18 than as a 26, keeping the 26 pack for longer dives. The scooter has not been flooded since I purchased it. Both packs are balanced for fresh water and the scooter comes with a single charger.
A burn test of the 26 Ah pack resulted in 93 min and 23.6 Ah (according to a Watts up Meter).
A burn test of the 18 Ah pack resulted in 26 min and 6.6 Ah (according to a Watts up Meter).
Both burn tests were conducted today, with the stopping condition being when the first battery reached 10 V. The 18 pack had one battery drop to less than 10 volts while the other was still at 12V indicating that it is probably bad. For their price these batteries gave very good service - replacements are available for $45/battery (2 required) from http://www.techbatterysolutions.com/..._7cPSH_d_12180.
I will be retesting the 18 Ah pack as it performed well on its last dive (May) and the results were unexpected.
I am asking $2500 for the scooter.
I would prefer to transfer the scooter in North Florida at a site suitable for a test ride by the buyer.
