Just the throw it out there, I picked up a Q a few months ago and like it. Have 20+ dives on it so far, very easy to see which is something I really like.
One thing it does I'm not crazy about is, when diving a hypoxic mix CCR mode with 1.3SP the screen flashes when you are at or above the minimum depth of the gas during deco. I would expect this in OC mode but not CC.
Also still waiting for the logbook software to become available.
I went with the Nitek Q knowing it would be difficult to match or surpass the Shearwater. But was several hundred dollars less, so figured I'd take the chance. I use it as a backup to my primary computer on my Inspiration RB.

I hate to derail this thread, but the way it is looking, and with the replies, or lack there of, from Dive Rite, we may never see that software. Sucks because I love my Q, but not having any logging capabilities is simply crap.

Are you referring to the computers that are now listed on the DR web site as "Temporarily out of stock" for all models? Or the Q that is no longer listed on the DGE web site?

They are one in the same, if you do a search on DGE for Nitek Q they show the computer as out of stock along with an explanation.
