ID:	4771Diverite black al bp with continuous webbing harness and d-rings. webbing not trimmed so very expandable shoulders and waist. I don't see a crotch strap, but will look around and probably find one somewhere. GPS-Rockstar has first dibs, but if he says no it's up for grabs. I think I told him 50 bucks....or was it 75? I can't remember; I'm sure he'll remind me.

    for sale as pictured.

If GPS doesn't want it I'll give ya $50 for it... I need an aluminum plate. (I'd need it at the end of next week though... So Rockstar make up your mind in a right quick fashion.)

Is it just me or does that look like a SS backplate?

You can tell what metal a backplate is made of by looking at it? Impressed I am.

It may very well be aluminum but look at the webbing and the D-ring reflection. I'm not saying you can't make aluminum look like and it may be just the way the metal caught the flash but it looks like a mirror, like stainless.

You get the "super-observant at 5:00am award" for the day. Good points... Maybe Skip just likes to keep them shiny : P

I don't care what it looks like... The extra 5lbs on my steel is killing me, especially when Florida is too hot to dive dry.

It looks more like it has shiny black paint on it. Look at the edges, and around the holes, where the paint has worn off.

But a manufacturer normally doesn't paint aluminum, they Anodize it which "generally" doesn't wear like that.

Neither does stainless. It could be a DIY paint job.
