Default cannonball cave, Missouri April 2011 the pools open

Kal, Brent Cooper, and I dove cannonball cave, Greenville, Missouri last Sunday (4-10-11) Lake temp. is 55 degrees F, quite tolerable for deco. Lake is down nearly 10 feet right now and vis in lake is quite remarkable (15 -25 ft.) as is the vis in the cave(nearly 50 feet!) We carefully inspected the condition of the gold line, and the condition of the downline rom the roof of the pit to the axle. Everything looked good for this season, although we are discussing the replacement of the white line past the axle to 280 ft., as there was a break in that line last season that we were told that Tamara Thomsen repaired last fall. Thanks Tamara! Oh, by the way the flow is up a little, so eat your Wheaties before you go.

Now that my dive buddy has completed his full cave training with Tamara will have to put this on our list. Haven't been in that area since AIT in 1969.

I'm about ready to see what lays beyond the 200 foot marker there. Glad to hear the deco temp is tolerable. 55 degrees means dry suit season is OVER!!!!

Insert something witty and creative here_________________________.

LOL, dude, drysuit season is never over for me in the MO caves! Just switch to lighter dive wear is all I do...

Glad to hear it's cleared up. My buddy Kenny and I were there March 26th and had 10-12 ft vis in cave, and it was very milky. Flow was up, lake was down then, too. May be time for another trip!
