Thread: fs: SS UV 26

    Default fs: SS UV 26

I just bought this a few months ago, and am only selling because I've decided that a lighter scooter will serve me well as I'm moving closer to boat diving and further from cave diving.

As far as I know, I am the second owner of the scooter, and it's only seen freshwater use.
Batteries are from 2006 but had a burntest of 85 minutes two months ago.
Hull had eyelets screwed in, which I removed. Holes were mostly filled with black epoxy, and Rodney from SS tells me that even if I hadn't filled the holes, the scooter's depth rating wouldn't be impacted.

The motor on the unit was bad, but I got the entire back end replaced. It's got the upgraded SS motor (you can kind of see the stamping on the motor housing to prove this), the only thing from the old back end is the prop, but the clutch is the upgraded aluminum clutch. It's got about 5 dives since the replacement.

Has typical cave use wear and tear, but it's in pretty good shape.

[edit] Dropbox apparently doesn't resize photos well...so I'm making these into links instead of thumbnails.

You can still see the grease that SS applies, hasn't even been dove enough to remove it all.

Here you can see the screw indentations in the nose. The screws didn't penetrate nearly all the way through at all, and SS says that it doesn't hurt the scooter. Lots of people put things on the nose of these scooters to have a handle on the very front, but I didn't like it, so I removed it. Bet you can't tell where I go to school

I would like to get around $3000 for this. I can deliver around cave country, or arrange for a transfer in the cave country area. Willing to entertain slightly lower offers but I need to get enough to purchase a used X scooter. I'd love to sell this this week, and can meet you in Cave Country this weekend.

I would consider a partial trade for tanks, 85's, 95's, hp130's, or al80's. Would like to sell this before the college wants me to pay tuition...

I'm open to wiggle a little on the price, because my college won't take payment in the form of scooters...Will be back in cave country next weekend.

What will it take to sell this thing? $2800 delivered to cave country this weekend. You know you want this!

I have $2500 in this scooter. I will sell it for $2500.

Just to reiterate: the motor, tailcone, prop shroud, handle...that's all brand new, 2 months old, has either 2 or 3 dives in fresh water. That's an incredible deal!

Sheesh, I'm shocked this scooter is still for sale! Kinda jealous someone's going to get a basically new scooter for $2500, I didn't find a deal like that when I bought mine

This is still up for sale. I know the economy must suck, because when I bought this, I couldn't find a 26 for under $3k, even ones with the old motor.
