Default Lafayette Blue Springs St Pk

Anyone familiar with the caves at Lafayette Blue Springs St Pk? Green Spring, Snake, Blue, ....Yana, etc? The State Park has been doing lots of upgrades to their property and Cave Diving is mentioned on their home page but I've never talked to anyone that has dived there...why not?...... So close to Peacock...

I am quite famaliar with this place. Chances are it is blown or less than 10ft viz,but it really never gets much beyond 20ft,which is probably the reason you don't see much mentioned. Fairly large cave that is shallow, but due to viz you probably not see all the side walls.

Thanks, are you saying that vis averages 10' - 20' when conditions are not blown?

That is correct. If there is a prolonged drought I have seen it as good as 40'.

10-20' vis is accurate. That being said it is an interesting dive because of the many long sinks. In the cave, in a lot of places all you see is the line with no wall/floor. It doesn't see much traffic so there is a lot percolation coming from the ceiling from bubbles.
