I'm headed to Ebro blue Thursday. I'll be heading to the spring via canoe. What is the closet ramp or bank that I can launch a canoe to the spring?
Thanks Craig

Greetings
Get in touch with Mat Bull, I believe he was there last week. If you don't have a motor on your boat, it may make for a long day. The river is at flood stage, and has a good current. The flow in Ebro is high under dry conditions, so my guess is that it is really blowing now.
I usually put my boat in at the Hy 20 bridge in Ebro, but it is a ways upstream to the spring from there.
Cheers

Do you have two vehicles? If not, go somewhere else.
You'll be dealing with the river at flood stages, like OFG mentioned. It'll be moving hard with lots of deadheads and other debri to contend with at a fast pace. The river will look like coffee, so don't expect to be able to see anything heading your way before you hit it if its submerged.
Its about 5 miles from the nearest launches. I typically launch from a creek upstream for no other reason than it shortens up my drive(by car).
If you have two vehicles, are good with a canoe, and want to chance an awefull lot of debri in a flooded river, its probably doable.
I did Ebro during high river levels once, and our motor conked out. Three of us all paddling were still going downstream![]()
I would guess an hour there and at least two back from where Mat and I launched my boat. Good luck.
It can take me that with a motor on my zodiac :P
Thanks for the heads up, I don't think I want to battle the flooded river. However, I hear the cave nearly ever siphons and is probably good now.

Ebro Blues...
Yeah, just got to consider the safety of getting TO the spring at the moment.
