Has the flow reduced with the increase in water levels?
The flow seemed up to me last Wednesday the 23rd.
We did our dive for intro class yesterday and ginnie. I couldnt tell but the instructors said that the flow was down

There is no limit. We'll always find a way to go deeper and deeper. That's been the pattern all along.

We only went as far as the gold line this weekend (from both entrances). The flow up to that point seemed only slightly low to me.

My name is Shirley Kasser Creech and I approve this message. Well, at least one of me does, anyway. Maybe. Fire. Sharp things. Squirrel!
Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.
Every time I go to Devil's I think the flow is about as high as I've ever felt. But yesterday I really did think it was up. Forrest didn't disagree with me.
Land of Enchantment -- not so great for cave diving, but mighty scenic!
I went in via the Eye today and the flow was as strong as I have ever felt it. Granted I was holding onto a camera with one hand (it felt like a sail).
When the flow is up, I always like to take advantage of the yellow tow line that someone has conveniently left permanently in place starting at the sign. Simply do a hand-over-hand pull along this rope as you traverse into the cave.
To get to where the yellow line starts, pull yourself along the temporary white tow lines that divers install to the sign. Sometimes these temporary white tow lines come lose, so I guess that’s why divers leave extra spool line tied off on the yellow tow line. I broke the white line once, and did the right thing and took the spool someone left behind for such emergencies and replaced the broken line, being sure to do a better job of laying the new line in the middle of the entrance for easy reach. Once installed, I remove the redundant white lines, most of which were installed incorrectly out of easy reach.
I don’t want to hold myself as a model diver, but it would be nice if everyone thought like me.![]()
