    Default Bare Nex-Gen Pro Drysuit

I'm kind of in the market for a drysuit and ran across a Bare Nex-Gen Pro Drysuit in my size.
    The price seems pretty good.

I need feedback as to the quality of these suits.

    Pro's and con's???

    Thanks,

    Ron

    Default dry suit

I have a bare that i use for cave diving and bang for the buck, it's been great!
bought it new for 700.00 bucks with undergarments and been diving it for 2 years no issues and no leaks.... just my 2 cents
I did Dive a DUI TLS350 for years, and all i can say is DUI=Dry till immersed
I was always damp in the DUI, But the bare has been 100% dry

I've been using a NexGen for the past two seasons of diving. It's a well made suit but very barebones. It's also a bilaminate instead of a trilam, if that matters to you. Though I've never had any issues with that. The only real complaint I've had with it is the god awful location of the exhaust valve. It's too far forward on the arm and sits almost below you making venting it a chore at times, you kind of end up 'milking' it while ascending. The zipper has started to stick recently making it difficult to get out of, though I think that may be from when I got a 45* zip from a wetsuit diver a few months back. Besides that it's held up well for me.

    Default bare next gen

i bought one years ago and still dive it today. i only use it in the caves and i like it very much, at times i feel like im in a baggie, but im aways dry, except when i do sweat a little. the suit is so light you can turn it inside out and dry it in minutes if the sun is out. i recommend isntalling a pee valve. the suit should be a little big on you so you have room to move about and fit undergarments. you will need good thermal protection since the suit offers none.

My buddy uses one and he seems to like NexGen. If you going to replace seals yourself you might find that bi-laminate that Bare uses is very hard to find the right type cement for (conventional trilam is easy to glue with Cotol - Aquaseal or even tire glue). Also front-end entry would be more convenient by many reasons. There is also arguable opinion that it is safer - when front-entry zip is damaged air bubble on the back is still lifting you. AFAIK DUI has a demo day coming - if you are in FL you may attend Manatee this weekend.
