    Default GEM Demo

I will be at Jackson Blue with the new GEM rebreather on Saturday Sept. 12 at 10:00am if anyone is interested in seeing the unit. I have several people off of the rebreather forum that have already confirmed that they will be there. If you have ever considered buying a rebreather but just didn't know if it was for you this is a great time to look into the safest, easiest, and most affordable rebreather on the market. This is the unit that we used in the crocodrillo video shoot in mexico. Mike also had the unit at the 2009 nss/cds workshop this year with a great response. Anyone that has ever used the unit says that it breaths better than any rebreather on the market. It can be mounted on any backmount tank (doubles or single)you use your conventional O.C. regs. to drive it so there isn't a bunch of extra gear and bottles to buy. if you have Any other questions about this event or the GEM itself please ask.

Some areas are unknown because no one has ever ventured forth, Some are unknown because no one has ever returned.

The thread was getting to be more of an ad, so I moved part of it to the retail section.

I just talked to Edd about a pavilion. He said the park will be closed to swimmers, so we can have Pavilion 1. Since everybody there will be signed-in cave divers, there won't be a charge for the pavilion.

However, in the past I've run across situations where the park was "closed" but there was still a group from P&R at Pavilion 1, so it might be a good idea for someone to get there around 8:30 or 9:00 and "claim" the pavilion. I'll get there as soon as I can, but I have a three-hour drive.

I will be at the trailer by Edd's dive shop, so I should be able to get there pretty early. Which one is #1?

I'd like a brief explanation of how that works: OC regs? I've seen it in action before, but don't recall much of anything other than it looked a whole lot like standard backmount doubles. Post a picture or two?

Check post #3. There is a link to a very detailed description, and pictures. I am sure there will be a few at the MO workshop.

    Default saw them...but

yes, i reviewed the links, but didn't really see how open circuit regs were being used, first or second stages. and the pictures show the scrubber clearly with no tanks mounted and show divers u/w but then the tank arrangements are not clear.... and then there's sidemount...?

probably need to wait until the MO workshop and have a closer look in person. Not that I can afford a rebreather anyway.

I will be running a GEM at teh MO workshop on my dives. You can see how the OC regs hook up then and I can show 1 of the scrubbers that I like to use al the time.
