Wetsuit disappears at Ginnie 08.20.2009

My 16 yr old son lost his 7-mm Akona wetsuit after last being seen on a picnic table in the Ginnie Springs ballroom area near the pavilion on Thursday, 20 August 2009. The suit is a XL and is pictured in the two attachments with views of my son from above and on his side in the Ballroom. We had a number of folks around near the spring but this table was just inside the fence near the parking lot and gear might have been unattended at times between 12:30 to 2:30 pm. We scoured the area rather thoroughly around 2:30 as we packed our other gear away. We have called Ginnie but nothing was turned in.

Not at all surprising. Times are tough and to casual folks there for the day, possibly drunk and braver than normal, divers appear to many to be well off and can easily replace something lost. We had a Zeagle BC[daughters] stolen at Blue Grotto a few years back. Problem is, we never left it unattended but was sharing a table with others and believe 1 of them kicked it under the table so it was missed loading up the gear. It was a GUE class and I got into it on the phone with the instructor later but fact is one of them stole it! Im sure not her but a student.
