I am sending via mail an economic valuation survey next week. The address list for those that will receive a survey is from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) for all those divers who have registered to dive at Jackson Blue in Marianna...ever. If you have registered at the JCSO but have changed your address since I would appreciate it if you would send me a PM or an email (whuth@uwf.edu) with your current info (name, street address, and zipcode). That will save us some undeliverable mail. This survey is being supported by the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. Thanks. Bill Huth

Bill, will the economic impact cave diving has had in Jackson County be available for us to see. This information could help us open up sites elsewhere, especially without paying enormous amounts of $$$.

Yes it will and it is more than just economic impact. I will be presenting results at the cave meetings. I did a diving demand study for the oriskany and those results have been presented at the last two dema meetings. We did a pilot of the marianna study at the cds meeting that was there last year and this iteration is the complete study and it should be completed even if you did the pilot because we ask about your most recent trip to jb.

Is there any interest in including others that dive there but may not have registered with JC Sheriff's?

Some dive from boats (e.g. Edd's) that certainly are part of the economic fabric there.

Also, for some of us that are members (CDS, etc.) but unable to attend meetings, is there any access to the reports?
