2009 CDF Social - Change of venue

The 2009 Cave Diver's Forum Social, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, has been officially moved from Lafayette Blue Spring to beautiful downtown Luraville.

As much as we were looking forward to holding this event at LB for the first time, the flood got in our way. In March the State Park System began some construction that would only take a couple of months. The spring floods lasted a lot longer than they expected, and we have been told there's virtually no chance the construction will be finished in time.

TJ scouted several locations and we have a wonderful area picked out. It's across the street from the Luraville Country Store, in a spot that I believe a barbecue place was located last year. It is walking distance to both Cave Excursions and Dive Outpost, so both Bill R. and Cathy L. will be able to be involved.

I'll try to use my vast computer skills to post some pictures TJ took last week.

I just saw this and think its a good idea. There will probably be a few drop by that otherwise wouldnt since Lafatette isnt a big draw anymore.

The cleanup has begun! Bill and Linda have mowed and removed limbs/debris. Thanks! Next is a big raking next week. This lot is the entire end of that block... very nice and big area!
