    Default Valve removal and install

I have a lot of experience using my drysuit pvalve (it's the one piece of halcyon equipment i enjoy using) but not much in the way of installation or removal. I just ordered a new dui tls350 and was wondering how easy it is to remove the valve from one drysuit and install it in another or if it is even possible at all. Any one in the know about this before i bother s. gamble about it? Bill

Is the old drysuit trashed? Won't it be kept as an emergency backup?

I have a backup suit I keep with me in case of a seal split so I won't miss a dive. If you plan to do this you need to keep the old valve on the old suit and just buy a new valve for the new suit.

Should be pretty easy, Bill. My brand new Santi got clogged up with seaweed just after I'd bought it./ Turned out to be pretty easy to take apart on a boat, into seriously little pieces, and remove from the suit leaving a gaping hole. There are some lip thingies like those childproof pill containers that you have to use a screwdriver and brute force to get past, then eveything is pretty easy from there.

Thanks, I am converting my current tls350 suit to backup use and the previous tls3350 to that is the one i am trashing as it is pretty trashed...gamble told me to give it up, i still have my earlier 905 as a backup to the backup

Are you describing the dump valve? Bill was asking about a P-valve.

    My bad.

In that case it's all a matter of how thoroughly you glued it in I suppose. I glue the crap out of mine - they're never leaving that drysuit once in It's feasible to put them in with no glue at all but I just didn't trust that option.

I have it disassembled...it wasn't glued in that bad....looks like it will go nicely into my new drysuit and i will be able to continue to enjoy my use of my only halcyon product. I liked the santi, would have got one if they were not quite so dear...i could have two dui tls350s for the price of one santi. The santi certainly is well made though.

I had to do something on deco so I ate the stuff. Turns out it doesn't digest too well.
