    Default Thunder River Spring

Just visited this place yesterday, what a place! The water gushes from a cave in the side of the canyon...could not get to the cave opening as it requires rope work. Anyone have info on the exploration of this cave? i seem to remember that it had been looked at only a short distance in due to the flow conditions. There is also another cave nearby called tapeats but i did not visit it. A bit difficult to get gear to the site, probably best accessed via the colorado river...the hike down from the rim is a bit of a walk....much harder back up Bill Huth
