    Default Madison Blue 04/27/2008 (Sun)

Had a very nice dive in Madison this morning (Sun). Went in the Rabbit Hole and found the cavern sign OK. Took it really slow up thru the Godzy jump. Viz was about 50-60 feet in spots. Once we got past the Martz jump , the flow let up just a tad. Made it thru the Half-Hitch and turned it right around the 1000' arrow. Nice coming back out - Lots of flow at your back. Peeked around into the side holes and saw lots of sand/silt piled up in the cubby-holes. Still lots of poofie stuff on the rocks too. Some particulate in the main tunnel too , but not bad. I could see the Martz and Godzy lines just fine from the main-line. Exited and checked out the cavern. The sand hill in the middle is piled up nicely close to the ceiling. We went back out the Rabbit Hole and then did a CRAWL up the big tunnel to the start of the gold line. Quite a lot of flow in there. (SMILE) Turned around and FLEW out of the cavern back up to the platform.

The Gold Line looked in very good shape (not buried in the sand anymore). I kept my light right on it the whole way in and really never lost sight of it.

Very nice , very nice !!!! (SMILE)

Except the Madison vultures (mosquitoes) were on the prowl. (eek)

    Thanks!
    Jean

That depends on whether or not you can get a hand on them or not.

I do not approve of killing the FLA state bird.....but I do understand !!!!
