Thread: Cave Gear

    Default Cave gear

I am looking to sell my doubles ect. I think they are 95's, steel of course. They have highland mills bands, halcyon manifold, and sherwood first stages with hoses. I am keeping the 2nd stages and spg for my open water rig. I would also like to sell the halcyon ss backplate, harness, MC pack, and 70# wing. I won't split up anything it is for sale as a set, just put on 2 - 2nd stages and a spg and go dive. They will need to be inspected and possibly hydro'd I'll have to check the dates. All is in very good shape and has been used very little. It has been stored in my garage full of air. I live in Oklahoma about 50 miles N of Tulsa. Any ideas on prices? Thanks, Scott

Folks, I'm assuming Marbry means the Mourning Arrow is gone (an administrative issue), and not that the doubles have been sold.

    Does $1000.00 sound too high?

Sounds a little on the high side... a set of new doubles (with factory new hydro and new VIP breaks down to about $275 each for the cylinders, $225 for the manifold and $125 for the bands. A used set with a current hydro and viz should be quite a bit lower - probably in the $500 to $600 range depending on the shape they are in, type of cylinders, etc. You're also not in the center of any concentration of cave or wreck divers (the folks who buy this stuff) so the shipping is an issue as well.

For the rest of the stuff figure half of what it sells for new as an asking price and be ready to come down some more.

It's painful.. Just keep it and keep diving, which is just plain fun!

    Good luck,

    Mark

Thanks for the info Mark. I still dive, I just don't cave dive anymore and there isn't much to see at 150'+ in our lakes except for mud and rocks and they don't look much different at 130'.
    Thank again,
    Scott

Did you ever look at the hydro dates on the tanks?
