Greetings again
Gerry and I dove Emerald yesterday. After 5+ inches of rain, the system was clear/tannic. That is to say the water was still free of sediment, but was a light tannic color rather than clear. In the basin, we could see 40 or so feet. I could see the steps from the upstream/downstream goldline tieoff. We swam towards Split, and we had 20-30 feet all the way through. The Split cave has more white in it than the Cheryl tunnel and was not too bad. There was a pretty good flow.
While it was not Ginnie, 70 minutes, no deco except safety stops - OK by me!
Cheers
