Based in Dublin, Ireland and certified Cavern diver, soon to be Full Cave, have a Meg as want to do caving on RB but for now happy with sidemounts. Hope to chat to others and get some tips and expand my novice knowledge on diving in caves.

A welcome forum might be a good addition. Let's think about that.

Welcome to the CDF! If you look, you'll see you have access to the Irish Forum below.

Welcome Graham, and good to hear from the other side. You'll be in dream land if you can make it over here with your RBR, and catch Florida when the rivers go down, and the timing's a bit better. Maybe you can share some of your RBR advice in the DIY RBR or RBR area of the forum. Contact Forrest for admission.

    Welcome Graham!

We don't have a "welcome forum" yet, but this is close...http://www.cavediver.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2569.

Good luck with your FC class.

And ditto on what Mark said, between your SM and RB, there are tons of great places open to you in Florida.

Default WEcome to a fellow Irish Person

    Hi Graham,
Welcome to the Cave Divers forum.

I'm from Ireland originally (Tipperary), but I settled in sunny Florida as there are lots more cave dive sites on this side of the Atlantic

I have a good friend in Cork who is SM and cave dives regularly..he would be a good person to contact. His name is Bob and you can find him through the Irish section of CDF (Bob1577). There is also a group of rebreather cave divers working on the West coast area actively surveying and exploring for the past few years, again you will find their details in Irish section.

There is ALOT of good cave diving in Ireland...happy diving.
