    Default graffiti

We dove Cow on OCT-30, w/my russian fellow cavers (all NSSCDS members) late afternoon. There was a team of 4 (?) exiting as it appears from the syphon part of the cave when i just started to reel into the upstream. There was no cars parked at the Cow parking and chain lock was locked so i assume the divers were tresspassing from the Suwanneee river side (there is a trail that locals use to trespass). The fact that someone cut the chain link tells that invaders were just lazy to walk from the river or didn't know that you can walk from there easy.

The trail used to have a NO TRESPASS sign but it is always ripped offf and shredded in pieces which legally makes whoever enters it from the river side guilt free. Last year (or maybe two yrs ago) I have met locals swimming there naked and i told them that it is a private property and got a response that they didn't know about that as they came from the river side. Otherwise gals and boys were friendly and even offered a beverage.

There are indeed deep carving on the most spectacular clay wall on the left hand side upstream. But i think it was there a long time already. That really sucks. But i think it might be at least camouflaged using spatula.

I repaired a set of initials in the clay around five years ago. I used some of the loose clay (crumbled it in) and gently packed it down with a sea sponge. You could tell until the next year where it was but it looked better than carved initials. CB

I didn't see them very well, as i was pre-occupied w/running the reel and a camcoder in the other hand was a pain. They were in wetsuits, i would say i saw multi-colored wetsuit, i also kinda remember small size doubles (al80 or 85-s). They were confident in the water but not perfect which reminded me experienced open waters. I remember i was thinking "where is their car? Or somebody maybe just will stop by and pick them up?". When we were leaving there was a silver or grey Ford Explorer like car far back at the T-end of the dirtroad, parked, no lights. Anywhere between 1500 and 1800.

That would be helpful as its rare to see dbl 80's in cave country (at least for me when I'm there I never see that) even if there are people on 85's in the area that would narrow it down, ask the fill stations if they remember any goobers getting 80's or 85's filled that had a silver/grey vehicle.

Get a well camo'ed digital game camera and mount it one of the trees way up over the spring...you'll get your trespassers soon enough.

I like this idea, but it would have to be very well camoed or it might end up missing.
