    Default Cisteen 90% blocked

    This was fun

Last week I was traversing from Peacock to Cisteen, too find Cisteen has a tree that has partially fallen in. But to make it worse, it was loaded with vines from hell. I never knew I needed a machete underwater to bushwack my way thru.

Thought everyone should know about Cisteen.... Good Luck.

Did you tell the ranger? If this is an emergency egress site then notification of it being impeded needs to be made.

It was not that bad of a dive. And a pregnet lady walked it. So suck it up.

    Hey Kelly,

Yes we told Ranger Rick about it and Cathy at DiveOutpost. It was late when we finished and no one else was around.

Were you able to get to the surface at Cisteen, through the vines?

It was not that bad. But the vines did get a little thick going back down in. Just be careful.

I surfaced in cisteen two weeks ago, just swam along the bottom right side until clear of the tree. However, emerging here forces you to practically crawl through muck. This makes re-entry a little more tricky. (limited vis = line drill) Worst of all, a duck was lost in the process. http://cavediver.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5490

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
