Pall bearers would wear a huckleberry twig on their lapels, thus were known as huckle bearers.
"I'm your huckle bearer" meant "I'm your pall bearer," or "I'll put you in your grave."

Okay, I have heard the expression before (yes my hearing is bad, guess it has been bad for longer than I knew) but never heard the story behind it.
