I did two dives this weekend. First dive was at 10:30 PM in a light rain. My partner Jean (jean diver) lead as I never dove this system before. Tied off in the basin and then onto the main line. Water looked very clear in the basin but under our lights had silt and particulate floating making it a non photo dive. We did two jumps and penetrated back to just before the posturepedics. Exit was orderly until Jean's HID died (her 3rd dive of the day). Switch to backup light and proceeded. Exited at 11:55PM for a 57 minute dive.
Saturday morning did this dive again with Curt Schuster. I lead duplicating the dive of the previous night. Two things different, first we made it into the posturepedic, and secondly we could see daylight from two sinkhole I'd passed the night before (the jumps). Of couse the night before it was cloudy and raining.
The Telford surrounding area was dirty and junk piled high in a full dumpster. Several families were camping around the sink with bonfires, and loud music. The dives were great though.
