Default Returning after a couple decades +

Hello all, returning to the forums and diving after a couple of decades and military service. It looks like a ton has changed.

    Is Michael O'Leary still around?

    Is Forrest Wilson still around?

    What happened to NACD?

Is SID still on the forums?

Haven?t seen or heard from Michael in years.

I think Forest has some health issues.

NACD is now focusing their efforts on European and Canadian divers.

    Oh, welcome back.

The answer to all the people questions is No, and the NACD is in all practical purposes nonexistent.

After 3 years there are evolutionary changes, so 20 years the changes will be epic. The sad part is after having not dove for 20 years, the places you remember so well will be beat up a lot more.

This is the SID I was speaking of. We both have line arrow tattoos. Funny guy.

Sad. I remember attending an NACD conference where we had a guy who used to recover NASA boosters and showed us the video of how they did it.

I'm not political, so I don't know whether having NACD as yet another agency muddied the water, but my buddies I came up with and Mike O'Leary got me an intro card with them, and when I went to do life things they were cool in my book.

I too remember great things of the NACD. It is a sad long story, but with the passing of Debra Green, the agency to disintegrated from within. It was really less of a cave politics issue externally, but did play out in the public forums. Good luck in finding Mike O"Leary, he was a good guy, and always appreciated him.

Awe man... Debra as in Larry's wife?

Guess I've been gone a while.

Mike was great, a Ranger if I remember correctly and a solid guy. Interesting to see where Halcyon/EE are at now... not throwing dirt but it certainly is different than GI and JJ's version of DIR. Things are weird, still googling a lot.

(edited to correct GUE to Halcyon)
