Jim, thank you for posting this. I am so sorry. Tom was a really great guy who cared about his friends. May his spirit rest.

Jon told me about Capt. Tom last night as I hadn't heard. I'll certainly miss our periodic phone calls and talks about diving and all things Southern. He was a helpful, good business partner to have and he definitely knew how to liven up a shop business meeting now and again!
I also salute his years of work with our military as a civilian contractor.
And I thank Jim Wyatt for introducing me to Tom many years ago.

It’s kind of heart breaking. Yesterday morning I was telling a close friend of mine that I was pretty sick of how life works. All your friends die eventually and if I ever have it to do over again, all my friends are going to be 3 years younger than me. 2 hours later I heard about Tom.

I like Tom a lot. I’m sad he’s gone. There are real assholes in this world that get to live. I’ll likely live forever, but the really awesome people are dying all the time.
