I figure it's just as far along as it was at the beginning of June.

I hope it is otherwise, but reality says....

I have been instructed to provide 3 additional copies of the staircase/platform design and materials list to the state for submission to Wakulla County for the building permit. They will be mailed this week. I am anticipating the first work weekend to be later this month. Cave diver, Jason Ottinger is coordinating the volunteer worker effort for construction.

When the call goes out for volunteers we will have several weekends to construct the project. Please be ready to lend a hand when the time comes. For the first evolution we will need everything from gasoline auger operating, concrete mixing, pile installation and even food service providers for those not handy with tools or physically unable to hump in the heat. There will be an opportunity to lend a hand for all those who want to volunteer.

For those not familar with the site, it is very well shaded albiet still plenty hot.

Please let me know what power tools you need, I have a pretty good relationship with some of the rental companies around.

They don't need any battery operated toys Nick! Seriously, I have to work every other weekend, but if its done on my weekend off, I have two generators, all power tools needed, and even a portable cement mixer.

Awesome - if its possible for me to be there (e.g. able to find a sitter for my daughter), I will be. The more notice the better, but I understand how this works sometimes......
