Where is it located at, and is it currently accessible to diving?
Its on US19 in hudson....there is a nursery there called "garden world" and from what i understand its not open to diving...and from the looks of it, even if it was open to diving it wouldnt be much of a dive. Its supposted to be around 200 feet deep but vis cant be any better than acouple feet.Originally Posted by CaptainSpeleo
Okay, I think I know where you're talking about. Someone pointed it out to me years ago.
It has been on the market for some time now.
For 200 feet deep it looks pretty dark.
One side looks like they have dumped rock into the system.
I would bet money that the nursery has done a fantastic job of making sure that fertilizers or insecticides have stayed far from the sink.
I went by there about a month ago. The surface doesn't show the signs of having heavy nutriants - cat tails, etc...
Picture and location can be found here - http://www.tampadiving.com/sections/...tem.asp?ID=137
I looked at what I think is the correct property on the pasco appraisers website.

I’m not sure if I am looking at the right thing.
Click on the chunk of land and it shows the owner and apraisal info.

from the looks of your picture the water might have decent vis after all.Originally Posted by DeepSea
I dove there with a small team in 1977. It is tight between 45’-120' and then it opens up to a large room. The shaft is tight and if you go in head first you are upside down the whole way down. We found it easier to drop down feet first. There was zero vis after the first diver in the shaft but the room had crystal clear water in it. We dove double 72's but I don’t remember it being tighter then Twin D's, just longer. When we dove there the vis in the basin was 15-20'. But that was 29 years ago. The team included Ed Hall, Mark Rose, Breck Johnson and myself. One of the few places we got to before Lewis Henkel & Dave Manor.
