    Default Dive-xtras sierra trigger issues

The reed switch does not sensor the trigger magnet when everything is assembled. When moving the magnet directly next to the switch it runs the prop. Dive-xtra suggests ordering a new rod.

How common is the fault caused by a weak magnet? Should I order a rod and take my chances? USD 65 plus shipping and handling to Sweden so I am eager to find the right corrective action.

I did have to replace the rod on my dive-xtras Cuda, but stuff had gotten in the hole for the trigger rod and damaged the magnet. I cleaned the hole out replaced the trigger rod and it has worked since.
Since the magnetic reed switch works with the magnet closer, I think it is the trigger rod magnet.
