From Destin its approximately one hour in my 23, assuming the seas permit running at 30kts (that'd be 2' or less.)

If its 2-3, then its 20ish kts and about an hour and a half.

Not bad at all. How is the current around that area? since its flat for so long, does it change alot? worse than other times. (minus the Huricane season) and bath water temps.

    Current is typically fairly mild.

There are a number of other wrecks I've dove in that general area, and haven't encountered the "screaming current" problem on any of them - although it DOES occasionally happen.

The vis there tends to be pretty good too.

When is everyone deciding to make a run on it? have any plans up?
I was thinking the first couple weeks or possible a month should be enough to let it settle down (tourist divers). Whats the norm for the temps.

    Thanks

I'll be posting my trips on my forum as I always do.

Ther's a contract on Gigabite but if the buyer backs out (survey and sea trial are done, I will know in the next 48 hours if he is buying or not) I expect to be out there Monday. They're expecting 1-2' seas and you can bet your butt that if my big boat is still mine she's taking a run out there immediately.

My little boat (23' Sailfish) is waiting on electronics - as soon as they're in (they've been on order for a couple of weeks) I'll be out there on every day nice enough to get there reasonably and where I have at least one other fool, er, diver who wants to go.

    Sounds good

I'll keep checking from time to time, incase you need some company or help in splitting funds for the day.

i can plan on weekends. (mostly) In order for weekdays to get off, i have to fill out paper work almost a month a head of time.
    Its all good
