Hanging my head in shame, its mine. Came unscrewed off an extra bailout 80 I was carrying on Friday.
Saves us a dive tomorrow to look for it, thanks....

I didn't mean to shame anyone, sorry about that, I just find it to be just about the oddest thing to be lost DURING a dive. Obviously the tank was closed, probably bumped and purged, then the hose unscrews... what are the odds

I've never had it happen, but this isn't the first one I've found so I'll be checking my reg connections. No problem Jarviz!

i know it is a long time painful arguments but on stage bottles (on stages only) i follow recommendation to hand screw second stage. over the years i had only one time when it came useful but it did. of course there is risk of loosing it just like that.

Didn't someone lose a drysuit in Little River about fifteen years ago?

    ... what are the odds

Isn't this the second or third time something like this has been reported in the last couple years..??

I've come back from a dive with the second dangling by a snorkel keeper attached to the valve, and the hose tucked neatly away. Pretty sobering to realize that if I needed to bail out, I would have had to deal with that first. Also, slightly embarrassing to have your buddy ask if its the newest trend to avoid free-flows by not connecting the second.
