If I am mistaken, I apologize.
If these are the tanks I think they are then I can understand wanting to unload them, but it is not ok lying about the description and then attempting to unload them on an unsuspecting user. I don't care what you do in the real world or on craigslist, but I would have thought that someone who posts as frequently as yourself would have more respect for CDF and Scubaboard.

I would say an apology is due. The neck stamps don't match the ones in the other post. Hell maybe Iowa loves blue..
An apology would be nice. I find it disheartening that anyone would feel comfortable enough to PUBLICLY accuse another forum member of an unethical act of this magnitude without having all of their facts straight.
The set of Blue LP63's (so we determined them to be) are not for sale. I still have them and currently have them setup for sidemount (see picture). The LP95's that are doubled up ARE for sale. Please note the neck stamps/hydro dates are different on both sets of tanks and the originally configured double LP63's had a scubapro manifold on them, while the LP95's have a sea elite manifold.
If you'd like to point fingers you can flame the member who originally sold me the 63's... they were not as advertised however I kept quiet about it and ironically enough the seller never offered to make it right, even after I posted questions on the original sale thread, which was later closed by the seller and I further inquired in a separate thread in the main forum as I truly wanted to determine the volume of these "mystery" tanks.
Any potential buyers who are now concerned are welcome to view the photo I took this afternoon of the set of LP95's sitting side by side with the set of LP63s. I am also happy to provide all tank neck markings should my integrity still be of question.
And yes, I like blue tanks.

Well now we know why the Pants are so tight…
Sure takes some big balls to make accusations like that on the forum…
I would confidently purchase items from IowaCaveDiver anytime. Glad to see this cleared up.
Cave Country politics? Can't find a better way to grind an axe?

I apologize, I was very open that I was not sure. I decided against a PM as I wasn't sure if I would be mislead, or ignored, or someone happened to buy the tanks in the short time between PMs. I believed it was better to be honest that I was not sure and to make everything transparent and post all links.
I did try to identify that they were separate tanks, but had difficulty confirming it. Only 1 born on date was shown and it is a tight picture, '99 is close to the '97, similar shape, similar condition, and (in my mind) rare painted blue color. You bought the other set of tanks from someone claiming they were lp 85s, while you are going to use them, they certainly aren't what you thought you were buying. My goal, as in the the other thread when I questioned the tanks being LP85s, was to protect newer/less knowledgeable divers from buying something incorrectly listed.
I am very glad everything has been cleared up and I am sorry.
Good luck with the sale.
That is a very odd color of tanks. With all the public confusion re the smaller tanks, it is at least understandable for a question to be raised.
Some mention of a repaint?? Is that Ford Engine Blue?
no repaint on my part. Oddly enough I thought about starting a thread awhile back when I started to grow a fetish for this color of tanks. I've seen a small handful of steel (fabers) tanks painted this color over the years and wondered if this was done by the manufacturer or if there was some 1990's craze around painting tanks this baby blue color. Everyone that I have owned seem to be the exact shade of this light blue color and the paint job looks very professional... not your typical "spray paint in the garage" repaint.
Does anyone know if this was an option in the late 90's for tank colors compared to the standard white that we see today?
FWIW, I have known Matt for years, and I am sure he wouldn't knowingly misrepresent anything.
