    Default Wayne's World - 5.2.2006

Dove Wayne's World last night -> Dive Report

The chain and lock have been removed so be a little more attentive -- Paul has been notified. Also, watch out for broken glass. Most of the bottles that were in the trash can were broken against trees so there is a lot of broken glass around.

Yeah...they are gone. I called Paul today. For now you can use the log I put under the gate to hold it in place.

I dove WW tonight as well...Viz was no better. Nice long relaxing dive out passed the canyons though...

A lot of divers mention "the canyons" when diving Wayne's World. What part of the system are you referring to? I'm assuming at this point that it's somewhere along Mainstreet.

yup its about 1200ft or so down mainstreet. you cant miss it, its where the tunnel goes from kinda low and wide to tall and narrow, hence the name "canyons" haha.

walter, have you made it out to the mud restriction or "asses and elbows" yet?

I haven't been through the A&E yet. I have been trying to make it there but I keep switching WW buddies. It isn't going anywhere. I am actually focusing back on the Golden Brick Road section again.

Frank, The Canyons are between the first and second T's on the mainstreet line (west side of the system). The nice thing about going out there is that the duck-under at the first T is no long a duck-under. A car door size piece of limestone broke off and is now laying below it. I am sure that made a mess when it fell. So, for those that have had issues navigating that T, nature (or maybe a scooter) solved that problem for you.

It's been several years since I've been west of the first "T" on Mainstreet from the shortcut tunnel snap-and-gap. I've been to the 2800' point via the long route circular tunnel. At that time, the tunnel had line laid to about the 3500' point. I've heard that it's been pushed much further west since then. Thanks for the clarification as to where "The Canyons" is.
