Last report I heard at ccds from last Sunday was 20' viz till eol ish. Don't know why go that far with such viz.

Regardless, the river rose 1.5' or so..I hope it improves. Will attempt it before it crests at manatee station

We dove it on Friday 2/12/16. Couldn't dive high tide since it was at 430am and 430pm so unfortunately the flow was ripping! We got our butts kicked and made a fairly short dive. 30' viz at best...water was kind of chunky. Good news is the park was pretty empty.

Dove it on the 12th as well. Went not far past Friedman and it was the same as IowaCaveDiver said. Line was covered in some spots with silt and very difficult to see in some others due to the line being discolored, it blended in well with the cave.

Check the tide tables for chief land... You want to dive it about 30 min before high tide when possible

2/22/2016 Main Spring basin had 4 manatees and vis that was fair. Catfish Sink was cloudy with about 30' vis...could barely see the bottom from the top. Flow was not too bad and a rather easy swim to Sues Sink and average vis about 30' with lots of brown stuff floating by. Friedman area had better vis ...maybe 50' or more.

Thanks Aquadog. Were you diving with regards to the tide at all?
