    Default Conditions in NFL

With Peacock and Madison now closed, I assume the other cool systems in the area are probably not really good to dive either, places like Little River, Cow, Luraville/Telford, Pot, Anderson, etc. I presume the caves at Ginnie, as well as Manatee and Jug are still going to be good; anything else probably good to dive in that area? How are things over at the Mill Pond? I read a pretty crappy vis report of JB from last week; has it cleared up since? I'm planning to be down in North Florida in a couple days, but if I'm going to be stuck at Ginnie, I might just spend time in the "dry" caves closer to home. While it may create difficult conditions getting to and from them, the frozen tundra always guarantees perfect caving conditions.

Cow is closed as well. Ginnie is fine according to the guys down there. Mill pond doesn't flood like the rest of them so if it was bad vis it was likely just some debris getting flushed out.

Manatee is at it's best when the river is high.

USGS gauge around there has only showed a 2 feet height change on the Suwannee, but one to the north at Bell has a 5ft change. I am sure Manatee will be good, but I wonder about the conditions at Hart.

The gauges have peaked upstream, so the rivers will be coming down, unless there are more heavy rains.

But look at the Withlacoochee that was at flood stage in Georgia, and still climbing at Madison, eventually that water will make it to the Suwannee. The Suwannee gauge at Benton has crested, but Suwannee Springs (near Spirit of the Suwannee park on 129) is still rising. Also, add the few inches of rain Georgia had early in the week,

Talked to them yesterday around 2 PM; Little Hart still had a slight boil and the water over the spring was getting murky.
