Cavern diving clarification Madison Blue

Madison Blue DOES allow cavern diving. There were a couple cavern divers who were turned away by the OPS on duty. I spoke with the park manager about cavern diving ,because this was something the NFSA worked on,and he said it was a misunderstanding,and apologies for any inconvenience. Please bring your cavern reel,and have fun.

I think the park should allow them a couple of days' free entry, if in fact they drove some distance to the park only to be turned away because of an uninformed employee.

To me it is amazing the job the parks department does considering their budgets are constantly cut, and asked repeatedly to do more with less. It is unfortunate that someone drove the distance to Madison and were unable to dive,but there has been a herculean effort to communicate to divers to not come to a park due to flooded conditions etc. But,I will do this,if those people who couldn't dive can identify themselves to me with the date,I will get them day passes which include all the parks-send a PM.

Funny thing was, a different ranger had let us bring a cavern diver in with us a couple years before. We were on our way home, so it wasn't out of the way. Apologies. Sometimes things don't get communicated very well,but I spoke with the park manager to get it clarified,and he felt sorry for the people that got turned away.

My wife is cavern certified and dive there two weeks ago .Got in with no problems .

I took a group of 2 that were only Cavern Certified and we had no problems. Great place to cave dive but as far as Cavern there are larger caverns available at different parks.
Madison Blue is a beautiful dive.
