Default NACD Safety Day - April 12, 2014

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 12, 2014. The NACD will be conducting its annual Safety Day at Ginnie Springs. This will be the fifth consecutive year that the NACD has brought this service to the cave diving community. In the past instructors have been available to discuss safety topics, to reinforce safe cave diving guidelines, and more.

This year, our focus will be on health issues with diving. We're going to have some nursing students there checking on vital signs and going through a health worksheet to provide advice to anyone who shows up. We'll also be speaking about some of the health issues that we should be concerned about with in diving.

I will publish times later but it will most likely be a morning event ending with lunch and some drawings for door prizes. Send me an email or pm if you are interested or if you need more information. Hope you can make it!

    Safe diving,

Here is the registration information for Safety Day. Safety Day has a different twist this year. You can attend and still have time for a dive. We will start around 9AM and end in the early afternoon. Lunch, tee shirt, and a help screening is included.

Hope you can make it to Safety Day. I messed up on the link above. Go to www.nacdmembers.com. Click on the online store link and then click on events.

Default NACD Safety Day - April 12, 2014

    Sandy
Li will be there representing UNF with some Nurse Practioners doing health screening for divers.

I'm teaching but hopefully I will have time to stop by and chat.

Hi all, The NACD has decided to cancel Safety Day this Saturday. We appreciate those of you who did register but we did not have enough attendees to justify the nursing staff coming over. Thanks to Li Loriz and her team that had planned to be at the workshop. We appreciate you being available. If you did register, we will process a refund for you.

    Safe diving,

    Sandy Robinson
