Default Navy Seal Master Chief James Watson

Letting everyone know of the passing yesterday of Master Chief James Watson, age 76. After President Kennedy authorised formation of the Seal Teams, Jim was one of the first 15 enlisted men to become a Navy Seal. His brother, Bob Watson, has told me Jim served two tours of duty in Viet Nam and earned numerous awards throughout his career. For details of Jim's career see "Walking Point - Diary of a Navy Seal". After retirement Jim served as curator of the Navy Seal Museum in Fort Pierce, FL. He will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetary. Address condolences to: Robert Watson; 3482 SW 76th Drive; Jasper, FL 32052

I googled "Master Chief James Watson" and found Jim had been awarded 16 combat decorations including 4 Bronze Stars. Also found the Bronze Star is awarded for bravery in combat and is our 4th highest award.
