Default New amazing multi level cenote open to the public

Cenote Chi Keen is officially open, this cave is very close to Tulum 9 kilometres south, just after the Dos Pisos entrance.

Chi-Keen is an amazing multi level cave, the top level is very decorated and has vast large areas with huge rooms and columns max depth in the upper section is 6mtrs.
The lower level is in fact the largest part of the cave and is incredibly decorated and looks completely different there are huge rooms, massive borehole tunnels and is the closets thing to diving in a dense geological rain forrest max depth in the lower level is 17mtrs.

Chi Keen is accessible in either SM or BM, and there is a high rez enhanced stick map on the fan club page in the link below

Tickets must be purchased at Protec Tulum, (no payments will be accepted at dive site) and there is 100% safe parking and tank carrying service is also available.

I lost my mind on every dive there and it is the only true multilevel cave I have ever seen.

These caves look so amazing. I can't wait to get back to Mexico and dive again.

Very cool. We leave for our first Mexico trip in December. We've been back and forth as to whether we want to hire a guide for all 3 days of diving we're doing or just one or two. Looks like maybe we'll get a guide from Protec for the first two days to get the best of our first Mexico trip and then go out on our own to the new system.

I think hiring a guide is a way better option, it takes all the hassle out of diving and saves tons of time too, all you have to do is choose where you want to dive. I always hire a guide when I go to Mexico.

We were thinking of just having one dive day where we were out on our own and could do our own thing without any time constraints or anything. Sounds like the guides give you a ton of freedom though

Dove this cave last week! It was pretty awesome! You can tell it is still a very new cave and that it has been dove much the ceiling still percolates in the main passages!
