Herb was my first instructor whom I had the privilege in knowing. He took me to several of the local Springs, both named and un-named, as well as several off shore wrecks as part of the training under the old NASDS program. His shop was located on South Atlantic Ave. Daytona Beach near the old 'Macs Famous Bar'(no longer),a hang out for the early NASCAR drivers.
