Good News, Manatee Spring is open to Cave Diving!

I met with the park manager this morning and Manatee Spring is now open to Cave Diving. The reason for the recent closure was that the spring was on the verge of reversing into the cave. The river has crested and the spring boil is nice and clear. Flow at this time appears moderate. I won't comment much on the scooter issue at this time other than to say I believe this issue will be resolved shortly and will be favorable for us cave divers. Safe Diving!

That's welcome news. We had a summer social there about three years ago and it was great. We're trying to decide on a location for another one this year - if Manatee decides to allow scooters again, I'm guessing that will be the location.
