Default Little River 10.06.2012 - Be Careful

The concrete walkway around the spring is very, very slippery. Busted a first stage finding out the hard way.

Visibility seems to be the same as it was a month or so ago, 40ish feet. The flow is slightly down, but still pumping. The tree at the mouth of the cave has slid down the slope, and the branches now partially block the entrance.

I fell the other morning going down the steps at home. Coffee musta went 20 ft in the air cause it didnt hit me for a second or 2. Scuffing up the treads is a good idea if you dont have grip tape. Holding onto railings makes good sense otherwise. Thanks for the warning.

So theres a better tie off points? Nice the rebar spike is ridiculous and is to tempting for the bathers hanging out in the jacuzzi.

The tree is now a nice place to hang for your deco stop. For those that haven't seen where the tree is now, watch the beginning and end of my video. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1yupTEKSKvQ

Nice video. I was watching as you guys hit the sign, and thinking "I want to see how he get's through this next section holding a camera"... next thing I know it cuts to the shaft.

I have my GoPro mounted to my helmet. I hate that YouTube only allows 15 minute videos. I had to edit a lot of footage.

Jason, I finally did my cavern course at little river a couple of weeks ago. I had a good time staying under that flow while doing the reel work. The tree was a great place to tie off and do safety stops. I'm looking forward to doing Intro soon and exploring the system.
