    Default Blue Springs Sign

FYI Hello I was at Blue Springs on Sunday in Deland checking out a new light and notice when I got to 60 ft the sign was not there. We found it around 75ft we put the sign back at 60ft on the left side in a hole, also the base is missing.

Is it a stop sign, or a grim reaper sign?

It's neither. It's an old generic type sign. We were there on Sunday too and noticed it was down. We tried wedging it into place, but it needs to be replaced with a bucket of concrete and new sign. We figured we'd wait until it cooled down just a bit though before dragging it all that way!

Shirley you're not serious? No, I'm not, but do stop calling me Shirley.

What is the wording? The early signs had the "rules" listed, then later ones started with "Prevent your death".

FW, it is neither. Sign is maintained by Joe Detrick at Fun to Dive Florida. Someone needs to contact him. He is in Sanford, FL.

    Default Photo of sign

    Forrest,

Here is a photo I took of the sign back in April of this year with a visiting diver from out of town.

I just sent him an email, thanks.

The NACD, and NSS-CDS have an agreement not to replace each other's signs, which is why I was asking what kind of sign it was.

That is an interesting sign. The design is NSS-CDS, originally done by Wes Skiles. However at the bottom, it says to contact the NACD.

Whichever agency wants to claim it, we'll be glad to do the backwork of replacing it.
