Default Is this thing on? (CDF Social)

I don't know, but people may be getting burned out on cave diving socials. We haven't had a CDF Social since January 1, and we may not have another one the rest of this year.

Marissa has offered to step in as Social Director, but absolutely nobody else has chimed in with any ideas.

I'M going to be underwater at the stroke of midnight on New Year's. Whether it's a big event at Ginnie or just a few folks at Jackson Blue, it doesn't matter to me.

I'm guessing Cave Adventurers will be at JB, so if we don't do one in North Central Florida, we might organize one there.

    Any input?

    There's a 75% chance I'd be at a JB social.

    There's a 0% chance I'd be at a Ginnie social.

UPS Girls???? I only saw the one girl, is he holding out on the rest?

Wish I were closer to FL so I could join in on a social, but I guess I'll just have to plan a party for one at a SW VA spring.

    Threadknap!

You guys are welcome to cannibalize Vortoberfest VII (October 7 - 9) or at least attend. It's good for what ails you, and perhaps we can have FedEx Girls vs. UPS Girls mud wrestling or something.....

Sounds like Ginnie's a winner then....

To each his own, I guess. Everybody knows how much I love Jackson Blue, but I've been at Ginnie on New Year's either eight or nine times (I need to check my logbook), and there's just about no better place to be on NYE.

For me cave diving is about caves and other cave divers. I'd be interested in another social. Travel for me is simply limited based on schedules with the job and my crazy desire to go back to school.

I'd really like to get up for NYE at Ginnie, or wherever, but NYE is my wife's birthday as well. She's not interested in camping, cold, or diving much anymore. So I just need to come up with a way to make it her idea...

I take my girls to Ginnie for NYE. So far I haven't had all 3 there, but last year I brought 2. My wife stays home and watches a movie with her Mom. Last year the weather was incredible, 2 yrs ago we didn't go because it poured for days, 3 years ago we about froze after getting out of the water. Weather is variable, but the social is great. If you reserve it early enough, Ginnie has a house you can rent to avoid the camping.

Thanks Mark. So I guess I'll work the Kayak angle with her, weather depending.
