    Talking Fun in doubles!!!

Different set of doubles, different wing, NO TURTLING! LP104s were off at hydro, so I doubled up a pair of AL80s. Threw on a classic Dive Rite wing and dived Paradise Springs. It took 6 lbs on my waist to trim me out, I might do 8 lbs next time. Only issue I had was when air wouldn't transfer from my left to my right. I think with 2 more lbs of lead at my waist, I will be level enough to not have this issue. A simple rocking to one side solved it whenever it did become an issue. I was a bit face down though. I may also have one more hole to move the wing up a little further.

Thanks everyone, for the help and advice.

It doesn't sound to me like you are in trim, if you needed that much to get level. Or did you mean you needed weight to get neutral?
There are other things you should try, before adding lead, like moving the wing higher on the bolts (different holes in the wing).

I needed the lead anyway to get negative. I would have been floating by 500 psi even with the 6lbs. I made one dive without the lead. I had to swim down to the 20 ft platform before I was neutral (in a 5mm wet). At that, my legs were up and my face was down. The 6 lbs solved it all. I was still a bit face down, but it worked out fairly well going down the slope in paradise. Going back up was not ideal though. I am just happy as hell it was not another repeat of last time.

what does turtleing come from. It became a problem for the first time this weekend diving my PST lp 95's and a classic wing.

    Opening your manifold may help.

Funny enough, we (not I) had that issue that day.

I would assume the reference to left and right was sides of the wing and not the tanks?

    I think Andrew's comment was a joke.

Yep. You sorta walked into it with the vagueness on air and the left to right thing. I took the opening where I saw it...
