Had some great dives this weekend.
Saturday Little River was packed. Parking lot was full and we had to park under the trees. We had to dodge a lot of swimmers on the way in. The basin was pretty trashed, but once in the cavern it cleared up quickly.
Took the mud tunnel, and short cut tunnel to the Florida Room. Returned via the Serpentine tunnel and mud tunnel. We each carried a single stage just to get used to them. I ended up only needing about 500 psi of backgas for the entire dive, but had no issues with the stage.
I had to love the guy who parked so close behind me I could barely drop may tail gate and totally block me in.
Satuday afternoon I did a setup dive at Ginnie. Swam to the maple leaf and installed jump to the bone room. Completed the entire circuit on thirds. The viz was the best I have ever seen. It was amazing getting to see the entire gallery at once. This morning we completed the circuit in the other direction. The viz was also exceptional today. It was really nice to explore under such good conditions.
All in all a great weekend of diving. Got plenty of practice with stage bottles.
